((Hello, everyone! I just want to say it’s great to be active again and what-not! But, my spring break is this week and so I will not be active. Right now I have something going on with Pearl which I will reply to, but other than that… Yeah. Just a heads up! c: ))
Happiness? [he muttered under his breath. He could hardly believe him, spewing all of that out. It would take a lot more than those empty promises to win Pearl’s respect back, or so he thought. As soon as he felt Diamond’s arms wrap around him, he tensed up, if only for a second. Hearing those words come out of his mouth sent a pang of guilt running up his spine. Suddenly, he wasn’t sure if he had the heart to be mad at him for that long…]
[looking down, he took one deep breath and sighed. So much for teaching him that lesson, Pearl. Calming himself down, he lightly brought up his own hands and wrapped them around Dia’s, his eyes staring at them until he finally managed to say…]
It’s okay…..
[Dia opened his eyes to look up at the back of Pearl’s head, a grin spreading across his face. His heart began beating a little faster knowing his friend had forgiven him. He was going to make it up to him. Somehow. Himself, Pearl, and Missy would go and adventure again. Like they used to. Things would gradually start heading back to normal. The Sinnoh Trio would return with a bang. Adventuring and just being together, with some goofy stuff, too. Dia sighed with the thoughts of nostalgia. Everything was just… wonderful.]
Ah, Pearl… You’re, uh, truly great you know that? Really. I’m just so [munch] lucky to have a, uh, friend like you.
Like, uh, on a list of friends you— [Dia continued on splurging how awesome friendship with Pearl was, but somehow couldn’t contain himself from the delectable sandwich which awaited him. One hand around his buddy, the other on the sandwich. Oh, Dia. You silly goose.]
[From his corner of the room, Pearl managed to quirk his eyebrow. Did I have an adventure? What kind of question was that? And so from that corner he replied, never budging an inch to face him]
Did I have an adventure? Ha! [he snarled, folding his arms] Yeah sure, an “adventure.” I guess you could call it that… [and for a few seconds there, he paused, actually trying to think back and weigh in the turn of events]
In Lavender, we met some old man who runs a Pokemon Adoption Center. Missy and I each adopted a new Pokemon….. we even got one for you… [that last part was just barely audible, more so mumbled between Pearl’s gritted teeth] Missy managed to get three of the badges from Kanto… and we visited the Safari Zone, only because Missy really wanted to, that’s it…. [that was his list. And with that last trail of words, his voice died down and his head hung low in thought]
….It was hard having fun knowing you were missing….
[Dia began to smile while Pearl told his story through gritted-teeth. In his mind, he thought Pearl was just being stubborn as usual. He knew he was sincere, but as soon as he realized how much fun he had on this quest he would cheer up! Definitely he would cheer— Or… not. Dia’s smile was quickly faded. He picked up the sandwich from his lap and moved it to the side (after delicately placing it upon a plate, of course) and proceeded to stand.]
Pearl… It’s sounds like you, uh, two really—… Pearl. I’m here now, buddy. It, uh, may have been a month without me, and you were really worried, but, uh…
[He stepped closer to his friend.] I’m here now. We, uh, could make up for that time… There’s always time. I,I’ll make time. I’m sorry, uh… I really am. So, to pay you, uh, back… to pay you back for that month of worrying…
Let’s just—
Let’s just have a lifetime full of happiness. [Dia’s mouth formed into a smile as the word happiness rolled out of him.]
Pearl. For worrying about me, uh, like that when I was in no real danger other than, uh, cooking fires…
[Dia was on an unstoppable bromance high. He just couldn’t contain himself, even if his thoughts were probably not even on the right track and were a bit naive. He reached forward and, not worrying about the consequences of his actions, gave Pearl a hug.]
… You’re my best friend, Pearl. Thank, uh, you.

[his face contorted itself into a grimace and froze, Pearl’s mind trying to register this information]
You were….. here? In your house? [his eye began to twitch as Dia’s hands came in contact with the sandwich. He was about to reel it back and club him, but he made one final effort to control himself]
Dia- I mean, Diamond…..[he gently placed the sandwich on Dia’s lap and with a slight tension in his arms, grabbed onto Dia’s shoulders, pulled him in, and met him eye-to eye. His voice, struggling to restrain itself, was constricted down to a whisper]
We thought something had happened to you. For a month, we traveled through Lavender Town to Fuschia in search of you. Diamond…. I don’t think you realize the severity of the case. We thought that someone hadkidnapped you, okay? We thought all the worst possible things and, never for a split second, did we ever consider the possibility of you being here. It would’ve been impossible.
You had us worried sick, Diamond. You really did! And you didn’t even send us a damn note. [and at that moment, he shoved the sandwich down on Dia’s lap and turned away, folding his arms]
G-Gah! P-Pearl, I—
[Dia was more shocked than anything. Not really knowing how to respond to this statement of events. He was touched, to say the least. At the same time, though, his heart ached and turned with the thought of his friends being so worried about him. His thoughts raced over the possibilities and tried to find a reasoning for why he didn’t ever think they would miss him. They were best friends. They were always together. The time he decides to slouch about is the time he locks himself away for a month. The passage of time didn’t even seem to register with him during this containment.]
Pearl, I—
[He glanced down at the sandwich in his lap, his eyelids growing heavy.]
I didn’t even, uh, realize… I should had— I could of— Maybe if—
[He shook his head, obviously wallowing in guilt. Something hit him, though. Something played across his thoughts. He looked up.]
Uh… Lavender Town to Fuschia? T, That’s what you said, right, Pearl? I, I would say that’s, erm… Quite a long time. A lot of things… A lot of things could had been seen. So, well, even though you were worried about me…
[He glanced at the sandwich in his lap.]
Did you have an adventure?
